I'm sorry to hear about your father. I can't even imagine what that must be like for you never having to deal with something like that myself. I know it may be hard, but try and be strong for him. He's going to need you to be. As for the ultimatum of your family and Scott just remember that you love Scott. I don't know the extent of your relationship with him, but from the sound of it he practically is family already. I know what that's like, being in love with someone your family doesn't necessarily approve of. I've gotten into arguments, distanced myself from family members and yes it shoudln't come to that, but some people are incredibly narrow minded. But do you want to go through the rest of your life trying to please them or would you rather be happy? It sucks that you cannot have both at times, but as far as I'm concerned it isn't you making that decision, it's them. Or I could be all wrong, what do I know {lol}?
